GAT INSTALLATION & OPERATION

First, loosen and remove the 4 screws securing the side plate onto the units body.  Remove the side plate.  Remove the magazine and check and clear gun for any shells or live bullets.  Always double check making sure that the gun or weapon is clear of any and all ammunition!  With the barrel pointing in a safe direction, cock the gun and "dry-fire," checking to see that the distance of trigger travel is adequate and properly set.  Example: 1/i" is considered short travel and 1/4" is long travel.  The unit comes assembled with the short activator bar which will generally work on most guns.  Place the gun on a flat surface with the left side up, muzzle pointed to the left, and with the grip pointing down.  Install activator body from the bottom onto the trigger guard.  (Fig 1)  Insert and tighten the two bottom screws finger tight and until slightly separated and away from the trigger.  Install the activator bar (Fig. 2) lip side down for most guns, and lip side up for AK47, variants and others. (Fig. 3)  Install side plate with the four screws provided making sure not to overtighten! (Fig. 4)  Again!  Make sure your gun/rifle is unloaded before inserting your index finger-tip into the thimble of the lever!  Make sure your gun/rifle is unloaded and cock the rifle and insert your index finger-tip into the thimble of the lever! (Fig. 5)  Rotate the handle until you "dry fire" the rifle.  If it doesn't dry fire the gun, move the unit closer to the trigger or go to the longer activator bar.  If the unit "dry fires" but then tightens up, you must back off the unit away from the trigger until the unit turns smoothly with a clicking action.  Once a smooth clicker action is achieved, you may tighten the bottom screws forllowed by the side plate screws.  (DO Not Overtighten!)  TO FIRE: Simply insert your finger into the thimble of the lever and rotate it clockwise.  Turn lever smoothly and slowly.  Do not jerk the action.  When a higher rate of fire is desired, rotate the lever faster.  Very little pressure is required to operate the device when the unit is installed properly.  For single shots, simply insert your finger onto the guns trigger and fire as normal. (Fig.6).
