INSTALLATION OF THE A.S. IV
1. Make sure that the gun is not loaded.
2. Always point the gun in a safe direction.
3. Loosen the socket screw (A) shown at left with the wrench
provided.
4. Attach the A.S. IV over the trigger guard, where it will
be clamped. Even with or slightly behind the trigger as shown in (Fig 1).
5. Torsion spring can now be pulled back and behind the
trigger so it will be in the rear of the trigger as shown in (Fig. 2).
6. The A.S. IV is pre-stressed during manufacturing, although
tension can be adjusted by moving the A.S. IV forward or rearward on the trigger
guard.
7. Standard Semi Fire can be obtained by moving the torsion
spring back into the position shown in (Fig. 1).
8. Learning to simulate automatic fire is best obtained by
using the assault method from the hip position.
9. Using the left hand, grasp the gun firmly and allow the
rear to balance freely. As shown in (Fig. 3)
10. Using the right index finger at right angle pull the
trigger slowly; remember not to hold any part of the rear of the gun. Only
touch the trigger with the finger. After a few rounds you will gain
dexterity and realize how much pressure to apply to the actual gun.
11. Aimed simulated Auto Fire on should weapons is obtained
by placing the gun to the shoulder, while holding the gun firmly with the left
hand aim, insert the right index finger at right angle as shown in (Fig. 4),
push forward away from the shoulder while holding the trigger finger stationary.
The gun will fire in auto mode when the buttstock leaves the shoulder, as the
trigger is pulled against the finger. Burst fire can be obtained by
bringing the stock back against the shoulder.
12. Assault type pistols without fore ends must have attached
either a barrel extension or a fake suppressor to be able to control the weapon
as shown in (Fig. 5). Grasp the front piece firmly!
13. It is most important to remember that you must aim the
gun with the left hand and allow the trigger hand to float freely with the only
pressure bearing on the trigger.
14. Remember the M11/9 should have the rubber trigger boot.
As this particular gun is uncomfortable to shoot without it.
