CONDITIONS: 100 Fahrenheit, 39% rel humidity, 10-20 mph varying wind coming from 1-2 o'clock directions, bright sunlight.
TEST GUN: New North American Arms .22 Mag/LR 5-shot revolver; 1-5/8" BARREL; FIXED SIGHTS.
AMMO USED: .22 MAG WMR (CCI #0024: .22MAG WMR HP MAXI MAG)
SHOOTING REST: Protektor mechanical rest (not rigidly mounted) with front and rear shooting bags.
After shooting around 25 rounds through the new NAA .22 Mag/LR at distant targets in a stock pond, I setup the Oehler 35P chronograph and shot 5 rounds at the bulls-eye of the top target 25-yards away. 3 bullets hit the target, 1 bullet hit the strip of duct tape above the target, and 1 bullet missed the target. This accuracy didn't surprise me, as I had only plinked 25 or so rounds at distant objects in a stock pond beforehand, and I really didn't know how to perfectly aim the gun.

So what's with the bogus 1st shot speed of 393FPS- 550FPS and the bogus 5th shot speed of 307FPS-448FPS? Well, the Oehler Chronograph manual mentions something about the blast can reach the chronograph before the bullet when shooting subsonic ammo close to the chronograph, and that the shooter should back away from the chronograph (or something like that). Anyway, I backed another 2 feet from the chronograph and haven't got anymore false readings while shooting subsonic ammo through the NAA .22Mag/LR revolver.
